3. Cookies
Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them. See our Cookie Policy for the cookies we use and how to change your choice.
4. Who we share your data with
Only the providers that run the website and our email, for that purpose alone: IONOS SE (website hosting and the mailbox that sends enquiry emails), Microsoft (the email system where enquiries arrive), Google (Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies) and Defiant Inc. (Wordfence security plugin, which may process IP addresses to block attacks). We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. We rely on UK adequacy regulations, including the UK-US data bridge for certified providers, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and related emails: 24 months after the last contact, unless we start working together, in which case for the relationship plus 6 years for legal and accounting purposes.
- Analytics data: event-level data for 2 months, and the random identifier that links your visits for up to 14 months (these are the retention settings in our Google Analytics account).
- Security and server logs: only as long as needed for security and fault-finding.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to our use of it, or to receive it in a portable format where that applies. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time using the cookie preferences button. Email info@propertyportal.com and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
7. Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and show the new date at the top.
